PARENT - TEACHER 2014

We were excited to go to the PTA"Parents, Pizza, and Progress Night" that was held at Chubbuck Elementary. I have to say that it was an overall fun and well attended night.

We started at Kate's classroom. She LOVES ... really, really LOVES her teacher Ms. Winder. She has been fantastic for our Kate.

Kate also wanted her picture with her daddy!!! Not surprisingly, when asked to do a report on a famous person while I was in Kansas, she also chose her dad because he makes cakes!

Once we got to Dawson's classroom, it was SO busy that we only had time to catch up on his progress. No pictures for our little man! :(

Thank you Chubbuck Elementary for always being SO awesome! We are glad that we are apart of this great school!

BUDDING ARTIST

Faith has absolutely loved art this trimester. She has learned shading and other very fun techniques. Here are 2 of her pictures that she did.

The owl is colored pencils when they were learning shading.

The turtle is Faith's favorite animal. She created this one on construction paper with paints. I love the end result, though she is quick to point out the imperfections.

Great job Faith! We love them!!!

CELEBRATING KATERS

Kate loves that her birthday is close with Jordan's. Thankfully, Jordan is compliant about taking pictures with sweet Kate! Our February babies!!!

Kate was also delighted that she was able to have a Frozen birthday this year!!! What a lucky ducky!

Turning 7 in our house is special in our house because you get to have your ears pierced (unless you're a boy!)

The first ear - unfortunately, there was only one worker when we popped into Claire's.

Tears, but worth it!

Then off to Texas Roadhouse for a great dinner to celebrate Katers!!!

Mom, Dawson, and Faith

She LOVES to ride the saddle. Infact, most of the dinner, she was worried whether or not our server would remember that it was her birthday!

Our family party was that evening as well!!! She was so lucky to have so many of our family there!

Hope, Tymber, Faith, and Dawson

Laura, Samantha, Ronda

The Atkinson family - Connor, Christian, Tracy, Brian, Jordan

Grandma Zoey and Richard

ADDITION TO OUR PACK

We are excited to announce our newest addition is set to make an appearance this May and coming to join our pack in July.

Brandon and I started talking about a dog in December. We started doing a lot of research on what would be the best for our family and for my allergies specifically. An online quiz said that our perfect dog would be a Golden Retriever. Knowing that piece of information, I asked Tracy and Robyn, my sisters who both have Labrador Retrievers, why they selected that breed. Less grooming was their answer. However, Robyn decided to add a little more to her answer, stating that if she got another dog again, she would look at a Puggle or a Labradoodle.

From there, more research and we typed in those breeds and looked at the pictures. A family vote was taken and Dawson and myself really wanted a Puggle and Dad, Faith, and Kate wanted a Labradoodle. All January, we debated back and forth. The Puggle didn't rate as well for allergies, so I gave on that point and agreed on a Labradoodle. Still worried about the size, Brandon found some miniature Labradoodle breeders in Utah. We think that this will be the best fit for our family and can't wait to take this new experience in life!

Our mom, Mia

Our dad, Birch

Knowing that this could be a shock for all of our friends and family, we figured that we would give you time to process it. We have the first pick of the litter. Energy will be our deciding factor (we need a medium to low energy dog for our family), but we are hoping for a boy. If you have names to think about, be sure to leave us a comment.
