HALLOWEEN 2015

Friday was the Halloween parade and classroom parties at Chubbuck Elementary. I was able to help in Kate's classroom and it was very fun!

Kate had decided Thursday night that she did not want to be Snow White anymore, but I was thrilled when Grandma Cindy helped us pull this off. She was the only Snow White that I saw (both at Chubbuck Elementary and out trick or treating). She was just beautiful

I ended up helping with a craft. It was crazy! Thursday night I found out that I had a craft (thanks to kids who had my phone when the room mom texted me back - that was Saturday!). I decided on a paper plate ghost but I couldn't find any white crate paper in town! So Friday, I changed my mind to do a bat silhouette with paints and pencil erasers. It was a messy project, but it worked out okay.

Saturday also ended up to be crazy, but a whole lot of fun! I did Faith's hair in a mohawk braid and then we spray painted it!!!

We did a neighborhood trunk or treat and then went to my mom's house. After the first stop, Kate, Dawson and Jordan did a little bit of trick or treating around their neighborhood.

Next stop! Visiting Grandma Zoey

Final stop of the night! Visiting with Grandma Kathy

The kids enjoyed the time out and did really well this year! Dawson did get too hot so he kept taking off his costume! Haha!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2104

Halloween is probably not one of my favorite holidays, but I do love seeing my kids have fun and dressing up.

Chubbuck Elementary does a costume parade and the office dresses up. I have to say that it is quite impressive. What do you think?

All in the same class - Elsa, Anna, Elsa

I was able to play in Dawson's classroom for the party. We did Halloween Bingo - Thanks Aunt Sondra! I didn't get any pictures because it went so quickly. :(

My trick or treaters
Dawson is a rapper, Faith was a panda (keep reading to see), and Kate is Elsa

The weekend before Halloween, Faith was invited to go to a friend's house and go to a haunted house. She gladly accepted and then came up with this costume... A panda. The day of Halloween, she was really not feeling well, but we dragged her along. Hence, no costume on Halloween, but here she is the weekend before.

After the classroom fun, we had a trunk or treat with the neighborhood, which is always super fun. Then we headed up to see all of the grandmas.

Grandma Zoey

Kate always needs to do selfies with me, so here is one at Grandma's house

She made cute pumpkins with their treats inside.

After we walked out of Grandma Zoey's house, cute little Elsa tossed her cookies in the driveway. I think she ate too much candy and her little stomach couldn't handle it.

Grandma Kathy

Grandma Kathy gave each of the kids a word search book and a large candy treat. In the hustle of trying to get everyone home and not knowing if Kate was sick, I failed to get a picture with Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Kelly. Boo!

I just had to share the other kiddos in our family. We are a great bunch!

I don't know what Sam was, but hopefully I'll see and hear about it soon! Hope your holiday was safe!

HALLOWEEN NIGHT 2013

This Halloween was so much fun and easier for us! I told the kids that we needed to decide in July what they were going to be. Kate had a hard time deciding between a princess and a cowgirl. Pinterest is both bad and good in that sense. But once she found this outfit on Etsy, she was sold!

Thank you, Grandma Cindy for sewing this for us! She looks adorable!

Dawson was Creeper from Minecraft. He got lots of compliments! Thank you Beverly Jones for sharing this great 'hat' with us!!! You did an amazing job!

Faith is past the age of us buying or making costumes, so I left it up to her to put something together. She came up with 'Fan Girl' with meant that she was at home reading a book, asking WHY???

And getting upset at all of the cliffhangers that the authors write in series that she likes! Especially Rick Riodan.

My 3 tricker of treaters!!!

Here is Kate in front of the creepy door at school.

I was so ecstatic when I saw that Buzz (Braden) was in her class! Chubbuck does a costume parade, and I had them walk together. It was too cute!

Maddie (Alice in Wonderland) and Kate had to get their picture taken together too.

Here is the spooky pop up houses that we made in centers on Halloween.  The kids had a fun time, but it was hard to get them done so quickly (about 5 minutes is all we had.)

We had time to visit all of the grandmas early this year.  Here is Grandma Zoey recuperating from her surgery.

Sharing her hat with daddy.

Grandma Kathy always tries to do a healthy snack, which we appreciate.

Being silly!!!

Next was Grandma Cindy's and Grandpa Kelly's.  Sam and Jordan

I couldn't believe at how bright is was while we were trunk or treating around Cotant Park. It was a little windy, but probably the best weather we have had in a couple of years. Everyone was adorable and creative! Good times!
