SPRING SOCCER

We finally received Dawson's pictures from spring soccer. This is our luck, so I'm getting used to it quite a bit. The kids were nice, the coach was very encouraging, and I think that he completely enjoyed himself.

On a little side note, this was taken on May 14th. Brandon and I were in Boise for Wicked with Brady and Sondra. Dawson scored his first and only goal that day. Aunt Tracy took him, since she is a sports mom, and cheered for us!!! It was also the day that Grandma Cindy had her bike accident.

WAY BACK WEDNESDAY - DAWSON TEAM SOCCER PICTURE 2010

Fall 2010, Dawson played soccer with the Arsenals. The week before spring soccer started, we finally got his team picture but never had time to post. Here it is!!!

FIREBALLS

Dawson had already been on 2 other soccer teams, so he made a point to tell the coach that he was in 3rd grade soccer this year ... It makes perfect sense!!!

Our record was not stellar. We lost all the games. On May 14th though, Dawson made his first soccer goal. We wished that we could have been there to see it.

Here are pictures from the last soccer game that we played. It was very cold and windy. He and another kid got into it. They kept hurting each other ... Whether or not it was on purpose, that is up in the air.

With Coach Gunter

Fun expressions that we get to see each game

It was a pretty rough season, but we made it through. He is getting pretty good at defending the goal. We'll see if he chooses to do it again next year. Ra-ra-ra fireballs!

INDOOR SOCCER CLINIC

Dawson participated in a clinic put on by the ISU women's soccer team at the Holt Arena. I think that he had a pretty good time. Here are a few pictures we took that night.

Inside the Holt Arena:

Katers on the sideline!

I'm ready.

We made a go-oal! YEAH!

Not sure what I'm supposed to do now...

My favorite spot on any field:

Go get it!

A friendly game of shirt tag.

Yep, I'm doing good!

SOCCER FOR BIG D

We decided very last minute to put Dawson in soccer. There is already some good and bad things, but we are just hoping to teach him a few life lessons this year.

Play nice and play fair!

Teamwork is important and will get you far.

Never, never give up!

GO BIG D!!!
