Don't believe everything on the internet!

So, this weekend was the Morrill family reunion. We headed down to Crystal Hot Springs (Honeyville, UT) to camp over and swim. The pictures on the internet on this site were beautiful. IRL (in real life) this place was an absolute dump. The benches under the pavillion were held up by 5 gallon buckets, broken tables heaped in a pile that of course attracked the kids' attention, and of course the swimming pools. As you left the locker room, there was a sign that basically said:

"Our pools consistently exceed the baterial limit for the state of Utah."

WHAT??? How can a place like this stay in business? Of course, they tell you this information AFTER you pay and then they don't give you a refund.

Anyways, don't ever go to Crystal Hot Springs and pay money for it! Does anyone know any other great places to camp and have family reunions???

We've stayed at the campground up on Scout Mountain before. It's pretty nice, as far as campground's go. Henry's lake also has a really nice campground. I've actually stayed at Crystal Hot Springs before, I was not all that impressed either.

So, did you swim? That sounds just awful. So sorry that you spent money on the drive and to swim. Doesn't sound very fun - too bad. Thanks for the cute card for Brady. He loved it. You are awesome! Take Care!

I grew up not far from Crystal Springs and it was a dump then too. Sorry, that you had to drive to find that out.

I went there years ago and wasn't impressed. Sorry you had a bad experience. There are a couple of hot springs over this way, Miracle, Natsupa, and Thousand Springs Resort.

We went to a place called Bear Lake Adventure in St. Charles. It was a lot of fun. Very nice, and well kept.
