QUICK ESCAPE TO BOISE

While Brandon had to stay in town on call, I took the kids on a quick escape to Boise. My cousin Shaun was going to get married and we thought we would spend a fun weekend (which also was the start of spring break). We left Friday afternoon as soon as the kids were out of school. We hit the freeway running, only have to turn around at Raft River exit for my temple recommend. Brandon met us off the West Pocatello exit and then we started again.

Of course the kids are comedians and had fun taking a selfie in the car.

We arrived around 7:30 and stayed up a bit visiting with the cousins. Braided Faith's hair and then she wanted to take a selfie. :)

Then next day, we got ready and headed to the temple for Shaun and Stacia's big day.

We headed to the reception and visited for about an hour. It was beautifully decorated and they were so cute!

Afterwards, Mom and Dad took us to the worst Wendy's restaurant ever. Everything about our order was messed up. We did have a good time visiting though. Thanks for spoiling us with dinner!

More selfies of the day!

Sunday, we went to Robyn's full block of church. It was a great couple of meetings. Imagine my shock, when I introduce myself in Relief Society and then the teacher gets up and says, "Are you related to Faith?" Uhhh, yeah. (What did she do???) The teacher was also the teacher in Sunday School and said that Faith is such a special girl and that I should be so proud. Ahhh!!! That was an awesome moment!

Then, the Jolleys were able to head over to the Zanellis to eat dinner (thank you Zs!) and to spend a bit visiting. I called Kenna "Bekah" because she had grown so much! I just couldn't believe it!!!

And of course the cousins, minus Kaylor. She did not want to join the group Monday morning when we headed home.

Thank you Royce family for hosting our crowd and making us feel welcome! You are a fun crowd to hang out with! I think that Tag even liked the extra attention! Peace Boise! We shall come again!!!

A NEW EXPERIENCE - FESTIVAL FOR FAITH AND DAWSON

September 2014 the kids started with a new piano teacher, Michelle. She has been so good for the kids. They enjoy every minute of their lessons and learning new music. Both of them have excelled so much in just one small year.

Yesterday, they participated in festival at Idaho State University and both received Superior ratings.

Faith played Whirlwind by Melody Bober and Theme and Variation in G Major by Cornelius Gurlitt.
Dawson played Trumpet Fanfare by Robert D. Vandall and Un Viento Caliente by Edwin McLean.

Congratulations to Faith and Dawson for practicing hard and not giving up! You are amazing!

BAPTISM DAY FOR MISS KATE

It's funny to think that 8 years have passed since Miss Kate was born and joined our family. She is really something special! This is the announcement that I put together for our family and friends:

Kate has always wanted to be baptized. This fall, three of her friends were baptized the same day and she just couldn't wait a second longer! Here we are all ready for the big day!

At the stake center with Kate, Mom and Dad

Kate and her Daddy

The Chubbuck Stake has you read a biography about your child. This is what we said for Miss Kate:

Kate Elizabeth Jolley was born February 21st, 2007 to Brandon and Zoey Jolley. Our beautiful baby girl weighed in at 8 Lbs 2 oz and was immediately loved and adored by her older sister and brother, Faith and Dawson. In our home, Kate is also known as Kater-Taters, Monkey, Monkey Bear, Snuggle Pumpkin, and Tootsie; friends call her "KK."

Kate is very talented! She loves to sing, dance, and cheerlead, and always lights up a room with her big smile and contagious laugh. She is our social butterfly and is always making new friends. It is not uncommon to have to make 5 or 6 calls or texts to find out which house she is playing at. She starts at one and works her way through the neighborhood.

Kate loves her teacher, Mrs. Page and loves math at Chubbuck Elementary. Her favorite foods are chicken fetticini and butterfingers. Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite
thing about primary is music time, and her favorite primary song is "When I am
Baptized."

Kate is very excited to be baptized and join activity days. We are proud of her decision to follow our Savior's example.

Afterwards with 3 of her besties: Sophie, Nya, and MaeLee

Nya' mom made Kate this adorable dress that Kate just LOVES!!! It was so beautiful and we just love it! Thank you Analia!

We celebrated with family at Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Kelly's house with a taco salad bar and cinnamon rolls. (Thank you Amy Johnson for the best cinnamon rolls ever! We love them!)

I didn't get any pictures since we were just having such a good time visiting. But, I did want to get a picture of Andrew and Faith. They are getting so grown up! Faith is 9 months older than Andrew, but he is definitely taller!

Thank you for those who came and supported Miss Kate in her decision to be baptized! We love you Kate and are excited that you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!
