This year, Make a Difference Day with Modern Woodmen of America was collecting warm hats, gloves, and winter gear for the children that are turned over to foster care in our local area.
Shannon Klingler spoke to us about the foster care system. The great thing about that day was that there were several other people, including Lindsey and Tammy (both youth service club leaders), that are familiar with the foster care system and how it works. It is terribly sad that so many children end up there.
Our goal was to make a difference for these children to have the proper clothing right when they get placed in foster care.
We can't wait to do it again next year!
