KATE'S SUMMER SPEECH

We were able to participate in speech therapy with ISU again this summer.  Kate had such a good time with such a good student, Amy.  It's sad to know that your child is being made fun of by other children because of how they talk.  I loved that therapy this summer was speech therapy but also counseling her on what to do when kids make fun of her ... and also talking out her feelings about how her speech makes her feel.

This might be a struggle for Kate her whole life.  But, we will continue to work everyday and never give up hope!
