TO UTAH

We planned on going to Utah about this time for quite awhile ... since February, I think. Still, when it actually came down to leaving, we were still struggling to get everything ready.

You see, we were going to drop off Faith to Utah State for 5 days at Retreat for Girls.  (More on that in the next post.)  We've never packed for 2 trips at once, and it became a little tricky.  Add to that combination, a husband that didn't get off work until 8:30 pm, and you are sure not to leave on a Friday night.

Since we were already late, we thought that we would take our time and get it right!  And that's what we did.  We arrived around 2:00 pm on Saturday and got the grand tour of the new house for Amy & Justin.  It is really beautiful, and I am surprised that in a month and a half, how decorated and situated they are!  Impressive guys!!!

We felt right at home, but always do when we are with Amy & Justin.  We had plenty of time to visit on Saturday and part of the day Sunday.  One small highlight on Saturday!  The adults 'escaped' for 15 minutes to go to the post office and also take their new car through the car wash.  Imagine our surprise when there was a girl that scrubbed the side windows before they went through.  I have never seen this before, so it was a phenomenon for us!!!

Right after the car wash, Amy took Faith, Kate, and I to look for her secret sister gift.  We headed to the Layton mall and stopped at Hallmark.  They happened to have quite a few things that would have worked.  She picked a necklace with a blown glass pendant attached.  It was mostly black and I should have gotten a picture of it!!!

We are blessed to have such a wonderful family!  Next time, we will have to do something outside of the house!

Here is the game room with the boys!  Andrew really does not like having his picture taken!

Kate was a gymnast all weekend!

I also didn't take a picture of the happy couple, Erin and Britney!
I can't believe how old Brit is getting and how young she was at our wedding (6)!
(Thanks for the picture Brit!!!)

And here is one of the view from their house on their porch.
Unfortunately, mine didn't turn out very good, so this is courtesy of Justin Jolley Photography.
(Next time, you can add your feet if you want!)

Thank you for hosting us time and time again!  We love you so much and can't wait for September!!!
