AN ICE CREAM MIRACLE

For those of you who know our Dawson, he is such a hoot! Since he was little, he has had a sensitivity to lactose ~ infact, he doesn't like ice cream because I think that once upon a time, it made him sick. We ask, and try, beg, and plead for him to "just take a bite". I don't even know how he figured it out, but about a month ago, he informed the preschool teacher that he was "lactose intolerant" (they were learning about the letter 'I' and eating ice cream.) Of course, on the sheet, I hadn't wrote anything about him being lactose intolerant because he isn't!!!

For FHE last Monday, we had ice cream sandwiches and here's what happened:

That's right, he actually took a bite! We are so proud of him for trying something new, even though he's "lactose intolerant"!

Wow! It's amazing how much I don't know about your family. I can't believe Dawson wouldn't try ice cream... It's funny that he said "lactose" - where do kids come up with these things? Totally funny!

How is Kate doing? Healthy?

That cracks me up about Dawson. Kids are so amazing on the things they say and learn

Way to use the icecream sandwich as a cover up. How would he have ever guessed there was frozen lactose filling in between those two chocolate cookie layers! Did he only have one bite or did he eat the whole thing?
