BOISE VACATION - PART 3

That night we had an awesome bar-b-que with Sondra and Brady and then headed up to watch the Dairy Days parade and the inspiration behind vacation. There are so many things that kids enjoy that do not cost money and this happened to be something that I knew the kids would enjoy!

(P.S. My Aunt Sondra is awesome at taking pictures, so these are from her blog. Sorry family for a repeat!!!)

Here we are getting ready for the parade to begin. We think that many, many people were getting into this parade, because it just keeps getting busier and busier.

At the beginning of the parade, they hand out t-shirts. Last time we went, Faith got a t-shirt. Looks like some things never change!!!

Here are some of the fun floats. Everything in here is about dairy - milk, cheese, ice cream, etc. We love getting chocolate milk, string cheese, and ice cream. Unfortunately, this year, we did not get the ice cream ... how sad!!!

Fireman and bagpipes. Very impressive, since I was in band and know how hard those things are to play.

Got to have the horses and the poop. We actually saw a horse pee right in front of us. I'm sure that that is a sight that they will never forget.

Mice and cheese.

Advertising for the corn maze on a cow train - I would really love to do one sometime.

This guy was a creeper, but it was sure funny for the adults.

More cow stuff. Lots of balloons. Very fun!

A camel on wheels!

A flying 'magic' carpet.

Faith loved all of the beauty queens. Brandon loved the cars!

Kate LOVED the parade ---

Dawson remembered the last parade that he went to where he threw up. But, further into the parade, he figured that he must not be sick, so he turned happy.

Kate also made a new friend, Kaylee, who she asks about on a regular basis. First is was holding hands.

They couldn't resist giving 2 beautiful girls candy. They raked it in!

Pretty soon, Kaylee had her arm wrapped around Kate. It was so very cute!

Racer trucks and cars were a little loud. (That is an understatement.)

We had a wonderful time and went back home and played games while the kids tried to watch shows. If I remember correctly, we played the new game of Life where it is electronic with the credit cards. Very fun!!!
