MARCH IN REVIEW

March was a wonderful month for our family. Unfortunately, I do not think that I have many pictures to go along! :)

Kate had a final check up with Molly with her tonsils removed. She did really well and Molly said that she was healing well. The next day, we saw Dr. Yost, our favorite pediatrician. She moved up on the scale to 10th percentile, which proved that the surgeries were working. She weigh in at 27 Lbs.

Kate also had a recheck with Dr. Finlayson in Utah. Because it was spring break, I took all 3 kids down for the short trip. She was doing really great. We were excited to make her next appointment for JULY!!! After the appointment, we stopped down by Draper and went to lunch with Amy and Johnny at Fazoli's. My kids totally enjoyed it and it was great to be able to visit, even if it was just for 45 minutes.

Dawson and Faith had parent/teacher conferences at Chubbuck Elementary. Faith got to show us what she was up to in 3rd grade and Mrs. Collett also showed us a folder of stuff and talked about how great Faith is in class. No surprises there! Dawson's teacher, Mrs. Westwood, was not present at the conference because of pregnancy complications. Kate had an IEP with the teachers and came up with goals for her. She is really excelling and enjoying school. Finally she can make it on the bus with out tears! That makes me happy!

It was also 100 days of school sometime this month:

I attended many of the stake's pinewood derbies. This went very smoothly and the wards all had such a great time!

I also had some training with the phytomer representative (a product used at work.) It was quite an interesting training and the products are amazing. I can't wait to try even more. If you have a chance to try it, do!!!

We attended Jordan's baby blessing.

Their ward was great, and the family get together afterward was wonderful. I made the jello salad. (It ended up costing $16, so now I call it the 16 dollar jello salad.) It is called 'Creamy Raspberry Jello.' This recipe is a keeper.

1 lrg pkg of jello (sugar free or regular)
2 sm pkg of vanilla cook and serve pudding (has to be regular)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cool whip
Fruit and marshmallows - optional

Bring 3 cups of water to a full boil. Remove from heat and stir in the jello and pudding packages until the jello and pudding has dissolved. (This can take up to 5 minutes of stirring, so be patient.) Return to stove and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and put in the refrigerator until set. (The longer you wait, the better, but at least 1 hour; overnight is best.) Whip in the cool whip and fold in fruit/marshmallows. Place mixture in a serving dish. Refrigerate from 1 hour before serving. Use raspberry jello and rapsberries, orange jello and mandarin oranges, strawberry banana jello with strawberries and bananas, etc. (Note: if you add marshmallows, be sure to eat the same day.)

I celebrated yet another birthday. We were able to spend the evening with friends and Kathy and Jerry. I made the traditional birthday cake - pumpkin pie.

Close your eyes!

"You've had a birthday, shout Hooray! We want to sing to you today! 1 year older and wiser too! Happy birthday, to you!" I am extra lucky to share this day with a wonderful mother who gave her day to me each year. Thank you for such a great birthday gift!

Service club for my children is always a highlight. This month we did litter clean up in the park. The kids always get into this activity especially.
